The Pianist

I got home last night in between 11:30 - 12:00 after playing poker at Chuck's house. I wasn't ready for bed so I turned on the TV to unwind with Sportscenter or something like that. As I was flipping through the channels I stumbled upon the movie, The Pianist. I vaguely remember people talking about this movie a few years back so I began to watch it. Well 2 hours and 20 minutes later at 2:20 it finished and I was still sitting on the couch watching it. It has been a while since I have been sucked into a movie like that on a weeknight. Although I am a bit groggy this morning, I am glad I watched the film. Without giving much away I will simply list a few reasons why I appreciated the film and think you should watch it if you haven't already.

1. I am inspired by one man's desire to survive.
2. I am blown away at how one man's passion could give him such hope for a better future.
3. I am encouraged by the bravery and amazing love that friends and total strangers extended to a man in great need.
4. I am perplexed at how any human being could see no value in the life of another.
5. I am pissed at the devastation a war can havoc on massive groups of people.
