A Confession

I feel I need to be honest today...especially to my friend Tara. I am a stickler for Christmas celebrations beginning AFTER (abs) Thanksgiving. I don't approve of pre-Thanksgiving celebrations EVER (abs). With that background I must confess something. This morning I was studying for my talky-talk on Sunday and was listening to an album on my itunes. When the album finished the next songs in my itunes began to play. It started with "God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman" by Barenaked Ladies & Sarah McLachlan and then rolled into "Carol of the Bells" by BarlowGirl. By the time "Born to Die" was playing by Bebo Norman I was captivated by Christmas cheer. I couldn't stop listening to Christmas music! I had to leave my office to get away from the music before I began thinking about presents to buy for Christmas, 2009 and running to Starbucks for a Peppermint Mocha. What a strangle hold Christmas can place on someone. Especially when I was caught with my defenses down. I'm not sure if I have any excuses post Thanksgiving Christmas Celebration brothers & sisters. Maybe since it is April this could simply qualify as post-Christmas festivities???

You are so funny : ). I think if Christmas music makes you happy in April then that just means you have the Christmas spirit in your heart : ). Yep, that's what I think it means.
