211 Electric Street

Well it has been a week now since Eric and I returned from PA/NY so I readily admit the trip report is a little late. Needless to say Eric and I spent A LOT (Abs) of time in Baby Blue but since it has been a week I am already forgetting how miserable the drive was. The Corolla was a gas-saving champ however. We were averaging anywhere from 36 - 42 miles per gallon on the trip! It was good to see Woody, Bethany, and the kids. They are doing really well. It was also great to visit with friends from PA. I realize more and more how much of an impact those people had on my life while I lived there.

A few explanations on the pictures:

The picture above is the home where we last lived before moving to MN. It was a double and we lived on the left hand side. Eric said I should have knocked on the door and asked to look inside but I thought that is something you do when you haven't seen a house for 40 years, not four.

The sign below was our target practice on Sunday afternoon's gun shooting festivity. I got to shoot and walk forward...my favorite gun-shooting move.

And my favorite picture is the one of the Christmas tree. This picture sums up the culture of Northeast PA. This was taken at an Arby's in Dupont, PA (about 15 miles from Clarks Summit). Remember, this picture was taken in JULY (Abs). I love the fact that even though the Arby's employees were too lazy to take down the tree, they still make the effort to turn on the lights every evening.

Hey dude,
I must say I'm jealous of your gun shooting move. I read it and immediately thought, "Drats, why didn't I think of that?" ...Yes, I did think the word drats. That's probably why I didn't have a cool gun shooting move. Guys who think words like drats don't have cool gun shooting moves. Drats. Anyway, it's nice having you back. Actually, it's nice having you here at all. Sucks to be PA right about now. :)
