My Thanksgiving List

There is a Miller Thanksgiving tradition of sharing what we are thankful for from the past calendar year. This always happens in between the turkey & sides and the consuming of pumpkin pie, peacan pie, and texas fudge cake. Here is my list from this year...

I am thankful for my God – Father, Jesus, & Holy Spirit:

• Every good and perfect gift comes from the Father.
• Jesus came to seek and save that which was lost.
• Jesus said it was better that He leaves so we could receive the Comforter.
• Because you said “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and all these things will
be added unto you.”

My family:

• Gretchen – You are my rock, friend, and companion in life. I am so lucky to
have you. You teach me to appreciate the little things in life where God
rains blessings on our family – a walk around Centenial Lakes, a Jr. Frosty,
the pumpkin patch, a movie at home, a fire in the fireplace, smores, sleeping
in till 8:00, & Saturday morning family breakfast.
• Tori – I am thankful for your genuine spirit. I’m thankful to see you happy
when you serve.
• Isabelle – I’m thankful for your dimple and those wonderful hugs.
• Mace – I’m thankful for the overflowing life that spills out of you.
• Dad & mom – You are a splendid example of what a marriage should be.
• Sisters – You unknowingly taught me how to relate with women & girls.
• Brother-in-laws – You are all great men of God that love my sisters (your
wives) as Christ loved the church.
In-Laws - I am blessed with in-laws that I not only love...but actually enjoy
spending time with.

Consumed Ministries – Consumed gives me the freedom to proclaim “life” all over the world.

GC – I love the people of the GC and how God is working in all of our lives.

Ritah – She has refreshed my spirit and God used her to convince me things can change at Normandale.

Random things this week:

• The sounds of laughter from my girls and their grandma playing games.
• Seeing Jesse laugh.
• Watching Ray smile with a humble-pride when I told him about Tori’s Veteran’s
Day.
• Minelli’s pizza
• Drawings for DJ & Katie’s new house.
• Tara saying to me “Jamie…I miss your voice”.
• Seeing Mark & Tara leading a college & singles group.
• Hearing Macie play the piano.
• Holding Abraham James.
• Running through Riverbend.
• Seeing dad & mom still working with teens.
• Receiving a Thanksgiving Day card from Pat.
• Cheap gas for the ride home.
• The chance to buy Dennis’ kids McDonalds in Indianapolis.
• Sitting at this table today after three Thanksgivings away.

This is the nicest Thanksgiving list I read this year. (It might have been the only list I read this year, but don't even think about that for one minute : ).

This made me wish I knew your girls because I just know I would love them : ).
